Day 24 of the 2022 Whisky Advent Calendar. Very smoky at first but with a caramel depth coming through. Intensely peaty with a cocoa and mint layer under it and lots of spices. Toasty nutty finish. β a year ago
Smooth, charcoal smoky, peaty. β 2 years ago
Super rich and decadent with a wave of dark stewed fruits like plums, cherries and strawberries. Itβs incredibly fruit forward, but not too sweet. Thereβs a background of black strap molasses and strong maltiness. Incredibly balanced for such a flavorful dram. A phenomenon winter whisky. β 10 days ago
As good as it gets! β 9 months ago
Great release, but but to drink after pouring the glass. Loosing the taste after 30 min. β 2 years ago
Straw color. Peat, garden hose, sea spray, green apples, sage, iodine, crushed oyster shells. Long, elegant finish. β 4 years ago
Excellent with peat, iodine and a ton of hard candy. I drank most of it neat and added some water to the last bit. Sorry I did that as it just dumbed down everything. β a month ago
Easy to drink dry, vary flavorful, oak and bit of smoke β 3 years ago

This is a great tipple as the weather cools down in the Southern Hemisphere. From Islay with plenty of peat and smokiness. A maritime seaweed note. Some say Laphroaig is even more peaty but for me, the jury is still out on that one. β 3 days ago
