Buttery, beach washed, sea salt.
Salt crush forreal. Melon, kind of Sauvignon Blanc-y. Tropical fruits. Balance leans towards acidity. — 4 months ago

Headline: “Yep that’s wine.”
A little more ‘watery’ and ‘grap-y’ than I think most would prefer, but very drinkable. — 8 months ago

1989 vintage. Opened but not decanted. Just got a (generous) side sample of this as I was entrenched with the weekly wine rep tastings. Tasted after 30 mins and one hour after opening. Definitely bretty (as expected) for the first tastes but that mostly dissipated by the end of the glass. Light-medium body with mostly bowed tannins initially. Longer it remained in the glass, the more the tannins came out to frolic. Still plenty of structure, fruit and front-palate intrigue (usually hidden/buried by tannins). Not improving at this point but-depending on storage and/or bottle size-still more than viable and deserving of massive respect. 01.29.25. — 4 months ago
This was 100% CF - no sign of age, inky, w/impressive aromas of cherry cough drop, herbaceous, white pepper, medicinal - old school vibes on nose. Bit unruly on palate, definitely felt the heat and finish had some astringency. Not a huge fan of Paso Robles fruit… Still a decent quaff and scratches itch for varietal CF. — 8 months ago
A nice Syrah that was enjoyed with good friends. — 2 months ago
It is time for my #FridayCabernetfix.
Deep ruby in color with a reddish rim.
Fruity nose and full bodied, with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry and very fruity on the palate with nice complexity.
Showing blackberries, black currants, cooked cherries, cedar, licorice, light vanilla, tobacco, earth, peppercorn, espresso and chocolates.
Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cherries.
This is a gorgeous 11 year old Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley. Big, bold and beautiful.
Nicely balanced with a nice mouthfeel. The high alcohol is very much integrated by now.
Elegant and robust. Rich and extracted. Tangy and interesting.
Peaking now, and will continue to drink nicely in the next 5 years.
I've had a few vintages of this wine, and it is very consistent. I had the 2014 vintage 5 years ago, and it is drinking even better now.
Good by itself as a sipping wine, and will also pair nicely with BBQ Meats.
14.5% alcohol by volume.
93 points.

It’s the Shiraz rose. Soft strawberries on the palate. Nice wine on a very hot day. — 11 days ago
