Saperavi, nebiollo, and semillon!? Wtf but omg, its really delectable. Very long and intense palate bursting with energy and contrasts. — 9 years ago
Lovely mid-level Rioja from one of the truly legendary vintages of the 1900s. After a while this really opened up but Christ it took a good while - basically a day of slow ox and an hour and a bit in the glass. Black cherry and farm soil on the nose with great acidity and balance, thought perhaps a little short. Still, a seriously solid wine. Could probably leave it in the glass for another week and it would still be fine... — 9 years ago

Ripe melon and Christ finish. Slight hint of tropical fruit and citrus. — 10 years ago
Needs 60 minutes to calm down. Do not drink before then.
Nose is tropical. Lovely.
Palate -elegant tropical fruit. Sort of this creamy tropical elegance.
Long elegant tropical finish.
As this opens it becomes much more elegant. Almost a tropical perfume.
An hour in this gets crazy. Tropical flower perfume. Insane. Oh my god. Like a walk in a rainforest filled with tropical fruits during a rainstorm with the rain aerating the first with tropical fruit and flower perfume. Elite aromatics. Jesus Christ good. Palate is elegant. Almost golden. With a bit more grip and density this would be even higher scoring. Internal aromatics are a thing of beauty. Papaya guava. Wow. Wow. Wow.

This does not taste like a $20 Shiraz. Christ, these wines are good. — 9 years ago
Christ. Someone's feeling generous tonight. Happy to get a tipple. At 10 years. It's still too young. Shows all the the range of Cab Franc flavors and aromas. Kinda crazy. Big, yet lithe and elegant. Tannic, but velvety smooth. Hard to wrap your head around this on one glass. — 10 years ago

Slightly carbonated, funky, dry, crisp, wonderful, not too tart... perfect with seafood. This is a favorite. — 7 months ago
