Lambert Bridge

Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon 1987

At Mark Paul NYD Party old Cab series. Continuing with old Cab series. Equally surprising as the McDowell but a totally different profile, with more oxidative notes as expected for such an age and with rounder texture and shorter finish — 2 months ago

Brut Réserve White Blend 2012

Tasted 2012 vintage. Pale yellow. Nice toasty, yeasty notes on the nose. Tasty layers of yeasty almond with citrus zest continuing into the long finish. Very nice, with a vibrant acidity balancing the mellow brioche flavors, but bubbles are not as persistent as they are with some sparkling wines. — 7 months ago

Harris Kratka Vineyard Zinfandel 2005

A rich but now well balanced Zin in that ripe style that I’d likely not have been too fond of when it was younger. Bottle coated with sediment and oak is prominent in how it’s resolved with plummy berry vanilla notes. Back label says a field blend of Zin Carignane and Petit Sirah, Alexander Valley vineyard, vines cultivated on St. George rootstock grafted onto a 75 year old clone of Zin. — 5 years ago

Nova 7 Annapolis Valley White Blend 2024

Colour is very pale with just the lightest hint of coral pink. It’s off-dry with lots of ripe tropical fruits on the noise and palate - cantaloupe, peach, and a hint of floral. It’s a very interesting blend of grapes. — a month ago

Pepper Bridge

Estate Walla Walla Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2015

We are into the 10 year old wines this weekend. And as we are heading to Walla Walla, we thought to give this wine a try after it was been in my cellar for more than 10 years. And…. hmm, a bit disappointed. Had expected much more complexity, layers of flavored and endless finish. Nope. Nice wine though, smooth, balanced, great vibrancy but, yeah, still single note and I don’t think there is more to discover with aging. — 8 months ago

Foundation Stone Red Blend 2015

This is a nice “easy-to-drink” wine! Soft enough for almost any pallet yet pairs with so many things: burgers, red meat, cheese, fruit, or just sip! — 3 years ago

Pepper Bridge Vineyard Malbec 2015

This vintage just keeps getting better and better. Spice and vanilla notes. Drinking with some spicier food. Pairs nicely with it. — 5 years ago
