A soft ruby color with a wide brim and cherry accents. A bit of lavender and rose petal on the nose, along with bright cranberries and raspberry goodness. This is an outstanding Pinot with a purity of fruit, plenty of herbaceousness, and great structure. I probably should have waited longer to open this but it’s certainly drinking just fine right now. Nice red fruits and smoke initially on the palate, with mild spice and dried herbs. This is a great example of how to produce a big Pinot with finesse. — 7 days ago
Celebratory wine! Pulled tonight by my newly promoted daughter, we lugged this mag along to dinner. Left open an hour, no decant. Earth and forest floor notes early from this deeply colored wine, and as it opened the cherry and strawberry took over. Consumed over 2 hours, evolving slowly with a long, spice tinged finish. A special vineyard indeed. — 22 days ago
Really tasty Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir; fruity, bright, earthy and interesting. The price made it more delicious. Enjoyed the 2016 vintage with prime steak at The Palm Restaurant in LA. — a day ago
Second of the blind white wines. Theme was new world Chardonnay.
Clear and pale golden yellow. A little chalky on the nose with lemon, minerality and green apples. Rich and buttery on the palate with sharp acidity (6.5/10) and medium body. Seems to have some oak in it and notes of almonds, green apples and lemon curd. Medium plus finish. Drink till 2025. — 14 days ago
2013 open February 2019. Surprisingly full bouquet, lots of ripe red fruit on the nose. Much more re-strained upon drinking. But I was drinking a bottle lid been open for 24 hours. Smooth Tanic body, but nicely balanced with the fruit and a soft end/of-pallet finish call me. — 7 days ago
Loved it. Got it at Costco in DC. Have been to the estate in Napa in top of the hill. Just as rich and fruity has an 2006. — 7 days ago
Full bodied with layers of dark fruit. Very good. — 7 days ago
