I really like this Washington state cab. Full bodied with mild tannins, easy drinking with dark cherry flavors. H E B @ about $17 — 8 years ago

1994 Screaming Eagle. Dinner w J&L B and D&M H while staying with D&M in Santa Ynez. Opened and waited about an hour. Decanted right before serving. Tons of jammy dark fruit. Opened more in the glass. JB mentioned full palate and balance. Great finish. Preferred this to ‘91 Dominus once this opened up. — 6 years ago
Abundant strawberry, raspberry, and cherry notes. Bright and lively with firming tannins on the back end to balance out the fruit. Had it solo but this would be a no brainer for bbq, pizza, and Tex Mex. $10 @ H-E-B. — 8 years ago
Bright and lively. Great “summer on the patio” wine. Good value $15 at H‑E‑B. — 6 years ago

1991 Dominus. Dinner with J&L B and D&M H, while staying with D&M in Santa Ynez. Opened and decanted right before serving. Loved it. Drinking beautifully. Still had some fruit in it but well balanced and some good earthy qualities. JB and I preferred this to the ‘94 Screaming Eagle we drank afterwards. — 6 years ago
Dependable good taste! $13 H-E-B — 7 years ago

1990 vintage. Last tasted 1.29.25 (9.5). Same conditions as then. Reconditioned/Château refurbed bottle with high fill and newish cork (only 20% saturated). That nose tho…H-B fer sure. Opened with a Durand. Not decanted. Tasted after 30 minutes, 1.25 hours and 2.5 hours. Phenomnomenal. Everything. Everything. In its right place. In its right place. A refurbished bottle from Le Château from this vintage in a 750ml format…another decade at this high. For mere mortal bottles, likely half that. 4.17.26. — 3 months ago
