Awesomr napa red blend. Eight years in and still youthful characteristics. Red fruit aromatics, noticeable tannin that doesn't overpower. Couple more years will do it good but tasting fantastic tonight!

Vertical of 2001 through 2013 at Formento. The 2001 was consensus wine of the night, with the 2013 likely to be even better than that with age. No dogs; just varying degrees of deliciousness

1991 Dominus. Dinner with J&L B and D&M H, while staying with D&M in Santa Ynez. Opened and decanted right before serving. Loved it. Drinking beautifully. Still had some fruit in it but well balanced and some good earthy qualities. JB and I preferred this to the ‘94 Screaming Eagle we drank afterwards.

Go to wine, but price is creeping up there from late 90s . Hope to find similar profiles at better value as 300 per bottle is about 7 times what I started purchasing it.
