Blend of primarily Nero di Troia with some Aglianico blended in. Dark ruby color. Aromas of tart black and blue berries, tar and bitter baker’s chocolate. Flavors of cooked blackberries, black cherries and dark plums along with notes of dark chocolate, tobacco and baking spices. Long and lingering finish. Quite ripe, juicy, full bodied and concentrated. Nicely balanced and harmonious. Fantastic QPR. Excellent find! — 10 months ago

From magnum. Medium deep ruby , thin ruby rim . Deep summer fruits , red plum , cassis , cocoa , blackberry , deep earthy , touch smoky on the nose . After a while sweet cherry , raspberry jam . On the palate this is quite elegant and red fruited , quite good acidity , red currant , cherry , raspberry , some blackberry . Balanced acidity quite juicy tannins , good length , surprisingly fresh and balanced . Good red fruited , earthy length . A better showing here than last year I felt, better balance and fresher fruit . Showing surprisingly well now , though still young , better in 5 years , and will continue well for a further 10 -15 or so . — 5 months ago
Fruity with strong body and clean finish. Ausgezeichnet — 3 years ago
This is a very concentrated wine with lots of black fruit and spices. The palate is complex and layered. The blend of Merlot and Cabernet carries the day.The. Petit verdot provides substantial color making this wine opaque. — 7 months ago

I love Aglianico and this was amazing. Red and black fruit, terroir tobacco and notes of old books. Smooth tannins - enjoy. — 4 months ago
