Purchased on a whim and you can be sure I’ll be looking for this producer again! Biodynamic without any of the funk. While I wish the nose was a bit prettier, the palate is fresh, bright and chuggable. A bit of acid appears to remind you of its structure, but mostly it’s just a pure joy to drink and not overthink. — 17 days ago
2016 - dry, deep berry, mineral. Zweigelt. — 17 days ago
The nose reveals fruits of; pineapple, banana, green melon, white peach, lemon, some lime & grapefruit, honeysuckle, vanillin notes, a little butter, delicate, powdery chalkiness, understated oaky notes, a whiff of graham cracker, flint with yellow and spring flowers.
The body is rich, full & waxy. Pineapple, banana, green melon, white peach, lemon, some lime & grapefruit, honeysuckle, caramel apple, vanillin notes, some butter, delicate, sticky powdery chalkiness, well pronounced darker minerals, understated oaky notes, a whiff of graham cracker, flint with yellow and spring flowers. The acidity round and excellent. The finish is; rich, lush, well polished with minerality that persists a long while.
Photos of; Klein Constantia Estate vines, more library wines they use to track their bottle aging, cellar room with bladder press, stainless tanks and oak barrels and tasting bar. — 8 hours ago
Dark purple red, silkily smooth and elegant. Blackberry, chocolate and plum with a nice mellow tannin finish. This vintage is great and can stand another 3 years perhaps 5. — a day ago
Incredible Pinot noir from Austria. Had at Fourhorsemen in Williamsburg — 19 days ago
Smoke and hide on the nose in the best of ways. Juicy plum, black pepper, oak finish. Big body and a long clean finish. Stands up with spicy foods. — 2 months ago
My wine seller said this is a very devisive wine. The haters say it's like licking asphalt. I get that urban grime earthy, but also mellow fruit. — a month ago
Weekly Wine Committee. 1 sparkler, 3-4 whites, 3-4 reds and 1 dessert wine format. Served blind.
This was really faded and light in appearance. Lot of sediment. I guessed late ‘70s/early ‘80s port. More guessed early ‘70s. It tasted older than it was, actually. Old graham cracker, cocoa dusted dates, licorice and old, candied blackberries. Dusty. — 12 days ago
