I’ll up the ante and say Tatomer makes the best domestic Rieslings-period.

@Eric Urbani That Grüner doesn’t exactly suck either.

August West

Graham Family Vineyard Pinot Noir 2011

A lineup of 10 August West and Roar Pinots, 2007-2011, all made by wine maker Ed Kurtzman, who attended our tasting. I found this to be elegant and delicious. — 3 years ago

Superb. Deep dark aged cherries. Nose is so perfect you almost don’t want to drink it — 3 months ago

Crimson Hill Vineyard Red Hills Syrah 2013

Might be due to improper storing, the inside of the bottle was coated with potassium bitartrate sediment. Wine was dark purple with hints of blackberry and dark ripe plum. Very smooth, initially dry with lush feel. Great, we wanted more. — 10 months ago

Koreaa Grüner Veltliner Blend 2021

A Gemischter Satz from Burgenland, slightly naturalistic, a bit funky, highly drinkable.
A flowery nose with some ripe pear, apple, summer meadow but also a salty, herby note adding an interesting edge.
On the palate this is vibrant, energetic, juicy. There’s a bit of grip, a beautiful mouthfeel, nice mid palate presence. Yellow fruit, ripe & a bit bruised, with great juiciness and an underlying salty minerality.
This has character, interesting edges and good depth. And disappears in a blink.
Lobe the label, too!
