2007 Hundred Acre. Post-Thanksgiving dinner w McC at Jar. Decanted abt 1 hr before drinking. Still huge. Comp against ‘01 Sloan. This lacked some of the finesse that the Sloan showed. This is also so massive and too young to drink. — 6 years ago
2001 DRC La Tache. Dinner at Rep w DS, A&L S, McC. Amazing. Did not decant. Much bigger than the ‘85 Griotte-Chambertin. — 7 years ago
Riserva Genevieve is not the best choice for a drunk company. But here we are, making our own mistakes. And also greeting a spoiled orange unveiling in our glasses. Mango, soap, white flowers and VA. It offers good acidity and balance. Its funkiness is moderate and not disturbing. This is by far the most complete wine in the range. Does it justify the price? — 2 years ago

2001 Sloan CS. Post-Thanksgiving dinner w McC at Jar. Decanted as we sat and let it air in glass for ~45 mins before drinking. Massive wine. Calmed down a lot over the next 30-40 mins but could have decanted it hours earlier. Drank this in comp to 2007 Hundred Acre. I preferred this over the HA. — 6 years ago

Aromas and flavors of mulberry and redfruits, medium-bodied, medium-long finish, lovely Frankland River Syrah made by Robb Mann, who we were lucky enough to meet and taste with (along with his lovely wife Genevieve) in Margaret River!! — a year ago
