Where do you begin? An entrancing nose- dark seductive fruit with spice and a supple freshness. Absolutely glorious on the palate with a velvety texture and a really complex yet delicious finish. This goes on and on and is utterly absorbing. What a treat and decades ahead.

Very good bottle. Structured, firm, shows its stems. Needs more time.

They always deliver, this shows the high toned expressiveness of the '99 vintage, it's definitely got some time to hold onto, there's a whole cluster freshness about it that is always so appealing, it didn't wow me as much as I though it should though, but all the same it's better than so many other expressions.

The 1999 Richebourg is a pinnacle wine, the sweetest nocturne, a walled-in garden of the soul. Heady, slowly unfurling layers of rose petals, dark loamy earth, mahogany wood, black cherry, crab apple, game, and forest floor. On the palate, pure silkiness knit together by a mesh of finely wrought tannins, it's timeless, graceful, pure—and at the end, a comet's tail of sediment in the glass.

Exotically sweet on the inviting nose, where toast oak, red licorice, ripe dare and red berries intermingled with coffee notes. Loaded with spice, cinnamon, vanilla, this complex and layered, finishing with sweet tannins and positive dryness.
