Slow wine 🇮🇹 tasting! — 2 months ago
See several previous Delectable notes. Deeply coloured but not deep in palate - medium bodied. Liquorice and almonds, a juicy palate. Finishes with a skinnsy bitter note. Great with free range chicken legs. Probably best drunk young. From a highly reputable producer in GD Vayra. My last bottle of 6. — 18 days ago
2019 vintage. 100% Freisa, which is similar to Nebbiolo. Aged 18 months in large Slavonian oak casks. Other DOC and DOCG wines produced in this area, Barbera d'Alba, Barolo
Barbaresco, Dolcetto d'Alba. Blackberries, mint, pencil lead on the nose. Great structure, mouth drying tannins, plum, blackberries, and spices. really nice. — 17 days ago
Yum! Fresh strawberry, floral and red fruit aromatics. Fruit-forward, but herbal and dry with delightfully soft tannins. Hint of licorice. Grown on the Arenaria di Diano (Tortonian sandstone). Great Barolo for late winter / early spring - feels lighter than its 14% abv. Had it with stuffed portobellos and feta-olive sweet potatoes. From yesterday. — 2 months ago
Should have opened it early and decanted - or better yet, hid it under a floorboard for a good ten plus years. Tightly wound tannins which come out swinging. Yet, with hints of the promised land to come in its youthful (?) bluster. — 4 months ago

Very dry, high high acid. Leather, smoke, cedar, minerals. Not much fruit. Higher tannins. And a good borolo flavor — 10 days ago
