Some sweet prune, tobacco and baking spices on the nose. Medium bodied and a touch more tannic than the typical CA zin at this stage. On the palate this zin is broody, still jammy, with an acidic finish. I think it has years to go still (4-7) before it peaks. Notes of plum, tobacco and ripe blueberry. Yum! — 6 years ago

Unusual for a Côtes du Rhône in being a non-vintage blend, the wine is half grenache and half Syrah. Shockingly deep ruby in color, the wine also has great depth of aroma and flavor. Lots of black fruit and garrison. The only caveat is it seems a bit low in acidity but still a lovely wine — 8 years ago
