I was looking for a wine that would pair with Indian curries and took a gamble on this Alsacian white. It paid off. I think Guy Ritchie was describing this when he wrote, “You’re fat, and look as though you should be, but you’re not.” Smells sweet, comes from a bottle that looks like it will be, but is surprisingly dry. — 3 years ago
This wine is a party animal if like me your version of party is delicious food and drink but also maybe a fun dress and the part is gonna end up being 8 hours long because the music and company you cannot part from. Went to one of those this weekend that also involved a boat but lacked the wine element. Wish I’d had this.
It’s the perfect balance of funfunfun tropical/sweet grapefruit vibes with impressively poised acidity and a bit of salinity bringing the sophistication. Juicy too. Makes you thirsty for more. Party on. — a year ago
Really dig all of their Syrahs I’ve tried. Felt like a gamble buying a bunch of wine based on a podcast ad but this one paid off. — 3 years ago
Surprisingly good! Took a gamble and won. Not too sweet. Nice fruit. Good acid and minerals. #birite — 4 years ago

Took a bit of a gamble given the rep for being very long lived. Opened t-8 hours and decanted 3+ hours. Still quite closed. You can get a sense of the depth of the fruit on the nose but overall it is veiled. The tannins are serious. Would never have guessed Beaujolais- one to let rest for many years. — 20 days ago
