Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

Blackberry, mocha, dark chocolate, smoke, raspberry, cherry and oak. Full-bodied and moderate tannins.

Fruit forward

French, Hungarian and American Oak, separately aged then blended. It is oaky. Good steakhouse fare.

Took sometime to open up, very little fruit and some tannins. Went good with barbecued hanger steak.

Nearly violet color and fruit forward but not a ton of depth. Tannins with a bit of a bite - probably needed to sit out a while.

Blind wine #4. Ripe blackberry, overwhelming new oak, some residual sugar? Way over the top. Guessed 2016 Napa Cabernet.
