Don’t know much about the producer (or have much experience with the grape, gaglioppo) but this was nice enough. Earthy, perhaps slightly dusty, but with lifted acid. — 6 months ago
Baller. Slightly hazy brick-ruby in the glass- completely unique in appearance and flavor. Crushed herbs and rosehips, wild berries, river rocks on the nose. Bright red cherries mingle with green watermelon rind on the palate. Juicy acids and prickly tannins. Some dank phenolics give this depth and mystery. Amphora aged, no so2 Gaglioppo rosato from Calabria; and it is totally pristine. — 4 years ago

Scents of new oak on the nose. Big, juicy red. Maraschino cherries and fresh herbs.
