Honeysuckle, apricot, white peach — 24 days ago
Needs 30 minutes for the modicum of oak to blow off.
Nose: white flowers. Hint of elegant richness.
Palate: white nectarines. Light for a viognier. As it opens juicy. Almost a silkiness. — 3 months ago
Dark ruby/black color. Aromas of black currants, fresh herbs and minerals. Flavors of ripe black berry/currant, dark plums, roasted meat and tobacco. Long earthy and mineral driven finish. Full bodied with high levels of (but well integrated) tannins and acidity. Beautifully concentrated and wonderful mouthfeel. Outstanding! — 23 days ago
2022 beauty. Quite restrained with hints of lychee, lanolin, peaches, herbal tea. Nice acidity for a Viognier. Perfect with a fennel based white Bouillabaisse — 4 months ago
Full yet flat, not as bouncy as the initial fruit flavors would indicate. This was a pleasant treat, though I'm not as familiar with syrah. — 2 months ago
It’s been almost 2 years since my last bottle of this, and the cellaring has been beneficial. Powerful nose shows all sorts of animal and mineral notes. Some pungent tiny berries underneath. A little sponti funk note too. It explodes on the palate. Dense, mouthcoating flavors, but they’re almost electrocuted by the zingy acids on steroids. Loads of tiny, zingy, dark mountain berries. There’s a fair amount of tannin, but they’re very soft and pillowy. Well done. Will last and improve several more years. — 7 months ago
