Rich and ripe - still with balsamic notes - lovely aromatics. A lively nose from this excellent Chianti vintage. Plummy, savoury red fruits, earthy, a trace of mushroom. Goes without saying that this is an excellent food wine, even with the extra ripeness from the 2016 vintage. We drank our last bottle on 12/12/25 with home made pizza. Just an excellent Chianti. — 6 months ago

Tart (strawberry, cherry, cranberry?). Tastes great on a hot summer day. — 7 months ago
Medium body fruity flavor with stone fruit notes — 3 years ago
Savoury red cherry with powdery lavender aromas. On the palate sour red cherry - a brilliant food wine. As Morrell wines said and I agree, “2016 is without a doubt the finest vintage for Chianti Classico. “ Drinking well right now. We had the last bottle on 21st December 2025 with similar tasting notes. — 5 months ago

Great pairing with Sunday gravy, candlelight and Dino Crocetti. We’ll put this one into the regular winter rotation. Salud! — 5 years ago

The oak has integrated from my previous note in February 2017 where the influence of oak Barriques was overly present. Sangiovese is not enhanced by too much oak in my opinion and is best matured in large Botti like I said in my previous note like Biondi Santi. Red cherry and earth notes finishing with powdery tannins. Coming together. — 3 days ago
