I mean where’s so much hyped smoke there’s got to be legitimate fire. — 17 days ago
Ale-like trappist. Ages ik the bottle. If you like a bit more depth and almond-like bitterness, order the old one, vieux or vielle de Orval.
The younger one is fresher with some citrus hints.
One of my absolute favorites. — 8 days ago
Beer night started with this. A beer I'm familiar with but have never asked questions about. So here goes: What is a saison anyway? So it's a pale ale - where does it fit in the category? And what's the difference between this black label and the checkered yellow one?
Anyway, it's a nice refreshing beer on this hot night. Fruity (pears and citrus comes to mind), spicy (white pepper and clove), grassy, with a nice touch of zestiness. Would drink this anyday... a sort of wine drinker's beer... though never over sour beer, sake, or wine for me (in order of ascending preference 😉) — 11 days ago
Killer, perfectly balanced Belgian IPA — 2 days ago
As the name suggests, a raspberry bomb. Kinda wipes out any trace of it being a beer even. And arguably it's even more "raspberry" than raspberry juice. I mean its like a concentrate without being overbearing, although I would prefer little more acidity to counteract the sweetness. Wouldn't look for it, but it sure was fun to drink! — 11 days ago
Ok IPA by St feuillien. I guess dry hopped, with the typical yeast taste that has a little dirty, rotten edge to it. — 9 days ago
