@Delectable Wine Not the Ravera. The Langhe Nebbiolo. — a year ago
From magnum. Lift bodied with a ton of herbs and spice. The fruit was definitely secondary. Great with the pasta and steak. — 2 years ago
So three bottles in the pic, but this is my favorite Barolo producer at the moment. All reasonably priced...His estate Barolo is not over extracted and super tannic, but supple, elegant, feminine. Moderate oak allows fruit expression-no new oak is used in his wines. Crazy complex. Blackberries layered under stone and dirt. The Langhe Nebbiolo is a steal and almost as elegant. The Dolcetto and Barbera express more fruit and less complexity but are still lovely. — 13 years ago

This was a really nice Nebbiolo. Tasted better being in the region based solely on vibes. Lighter than I expected but still had that classic structure with tart cherry and cranberry up front that I have come to love. Ended with a little floral note like rose maybe and just an overall earthiness. The tannins were definitely present, but not too aggressive, which made it super approachable. Evidently as this bottle did not last long. It felt fresh and a bit young, but in a good way. Great wine paired with great food. — a month ago
