Haven’t had Pappy but this is hands down the best 4 year Rye I’ve ever tasted! — 4 years ago
Caramel color. Rich cloves, apple cider, potpourri, cherry, red fruits, prunes. Smells like the Holidays! Medium body. Medium + finish. — 10 years ago
This was really nice as well. Would be even better in its proper glass. — 11 years ago

The Lowdown in T-Town. Neat = High heat but very good caramel flavors. Rich. Lingering smooth caramel; not cloying at all. Then with big rock = smooths flavors out and introduces an almost peppermint flavor(?!). Surprisingly good and interesting. Nice burn. Flavors are unique, but it’s good. Occasional sipper. — 5 months ago
Everything is better when it’s black. — 7 years ago
💯 Roasted Blue Corn 🌽 in used oak. Sweet and spicy, very smooth for type and price. Aged 6mos - 1.5 Years. Very polished for a young Whiskey. Hearts cuts and good wood. — 7 years ago
Gorgeous tawny color. Right off the bat you get hit with cream sherry, almond, maraschino cherry, campfire, and even a bit of bacon fat. Waxy, resinous, with Nutella notes and coriander in the mouth. Delightful. — 10 years ago
Smoky Peaty and spirity aromas Also Iodine and Briny notes showing its maritime location. A single malt matured in charred oak casks. There is some conjecture as to whether Talisker is classified as Island or Islay but suffice to say it is the only Distillery on the Isle of Skye. Had a tour of Talisker many years ago after going to the HQ of the MacDonald Clan on Skye. I bought this 1 Litre bottle at Gatwick Airport about 2 months ago before we headed up to Inverness and the Highlands. — 7 years ago
Deep, golden color. Strong Islay notes of peat, bonfire, sea spray, rich malts, caramel, coffee grounds, and wet manicured grass. VERY thick mouthfeel, almost syrupy, with banana flambé and nutmeg flavors. It even evokes memories of childhood hikes in a damp forest! Very intriguing, wonderful representation of an Islay Single Malt. — 10 years ago
