My first Burntshirt bottle! I opted to open the Meritage first to see what their overall fruit profile could produce when blended for optimal experience… Quite impressed and can honestly say that it would be amongst the top 3–5 producers in the state… The soil insight are capable of ripening especially in this optimal vintage. All five Bordeaux varietals used and leads to a Monticello or Breaux-style blend. Rich, with plenty of heft, this build is enough but it’s in no way special or distinct. It reflects competency in farming and in winemaking, but lacks a real pizazz or layers of nuance. It’s just nice ;) the 90 score reflects overcoming the obstacles of latitude and possible excess rains. It’s really good by NC standards, which is a victory that they should be proud of. We put this against burgers and baked beans and we were satisfied, that’s a lot to ask of a cab sauv driven blend ;) — 2 years ago

From White Horse Wine and Spirits. Obviously not my first time having this lol. Probably a 2022 vintage but it’s not labeled. Anyway, dark chocolate-covered cherries, some oak and minerals, 🍷 Happy Friday! — 5 months ago
— a year ago
The description: The 2022 Pinque has classic strawberries and cream characters along with watermelon and a touch of Szechuan pepper. The 2022 vintage was warm and dry and correspondingly this wine is relatively low in acid making for a very smashable wine, although like all our wines there is plenty of subtle complexity to delight the taster. Enjoy! The opinion: in total agreement.

Apesar de a garrafa estar judiada o vinho ainda se manteve íntegro — 2 years ago
New year’s day bottle. Beautiful wine. Citrus, sharp melon and beautiful acid. Finish was long and sharp at the end. Had a Bougros from this vintage and producer last year that was oxidized and flat. This one was as good as it gets. — 2 years ago
A nice memory of Galicia, well balanced, fruity and estiva. — 4 years ago
Sipping Fine Wine
The “King of Chardonnay” Mike Grgich farms w/o pesticides and certified organic. Aged 10 months, no MLF. Medium lemon color with aromas of stone & citrus fruits. On the palate flavors of apple, pear & lemon citrus flavors, with honeysuckle, vanilla & toasty oak notes. Nice balance with acidity on long finish with a toasty mineral ending. Not your typical CA Chard, very nice! Consistent. — a month ago
