Riesling 2007

The Basic QbA Riesling from a good grower should always be a very good wine that also ages well. Case in point here. This 13-year old has another decade of aging potential. I believe the vineyard village here is Wehlen. The fruit is fresh and would be convincing as a feinherb, and the balanced structure is appropriately firm. — 23 days ago

Bernkasteler Badstube Riesling 2003

Medium amber color with pronounced aromas of ripe and dried stone fruits. On the palate flavors of peach, dried apricots and honey marmalade. Full-bodied, high acidity, long glorious finish ending with sweet candied fruit. Outstanding. Tasting Sample. — 3 months ago

My favorite Reisling. I'm not a fan of very sweet and this hits the spot. — 4 months ago

Wehlener Sonnenuhr Spätlese Riesling 2005

I’m getting a real taste for these delicious aged rieslings. This is the second bottle of this vintage I’ve had, and man - it was rocking. It’s in such a perfect place right now. Ripe acidity balanced with the sweetness of honey, caramel apple, brûlée’d peach, kerosene and lilac flower. I’m making a mental note to buy more for the cellar. Despite the wait, these are too good to rob your future self of their pleasures. Yum. — a month ago

Riesling 2018

Color of light egg white. Nose of gasoline, Sprite, carbonated water, honey, stingy, lemonade, very Riesling like. Taste is light, sweet, honey, refreshing, some more gasoline, and some more sweetness from honey. Aftertaste shows a bit more warmth. Not bad. — 4 months ago

Bernkasteler Badstube Auslese Riesling 2008

Pale straw colour. Very shy right after opening with extremely subtle aromas. It wasn’t off or funky in anyway, just really restrained. It was served very chilled which likely had something to do with this. After half an hour, it did open up with peasant apricots and honey. In the mouth, it was a really soothing texture, built of equal balance between sweet and acidic. Some melon and grass and flint but also that classic honeyed caramel. It was long and is in a lovely spot right now. Surely to age further but right as the rain if you can’t wait. Today was our 5th anniversary and I couldn’t think of a better wine to toast my bride. 🥂 👰 — 2 months ago
