Beefy. Maybe too early still — 9 days ago
Light salmon color. Aromas of watermelon and red berries. Bold red berry and watermelon fruit flavors with a nice hint of spice. Touch of salinity on the finish. Nice texture (bit of heft) and a bit of tannin. Quite crisp and refreshing. Gulpable! Excellent QPR. Thanks for sharing, Kase! — 2 months ago
Light golden color. Aromas of white flowers, fresh herbs, wet stones and a faint amount of citrus fruit. Green melon, lychee, and those fresh herbs fill the palate. Minerals pleasantly dominate the finish. Creamy texture and lively acidity. So fresh! Outstanding QPR! Reminded me more of a high elevation crisp white from France or Italy. Wonderful surprise! Syrah 70% / Cab Sauv 14% / PV 16%
Varietally fermented & aged. French oak (10-14 months), then assemblage.
Prominent roasted, smokey aromas, leather, blueberry, blackberry, menthol, coffee bean, clove, black pepper, dried violets, pencil shavings.
Ripe blackberry, blueberry, and plum; vanilla bean, cocoa nib, black pepper, crushed rock / graphite. Fresh acidity; tannins resolving nicely but still robust.
Drink now with food now or revisit in 2-3yrs. (Nb. variance has been a factor - some have peaked) — a month ago
First Asturian wine, interesting mix of ripe red fruit with good acidity — 2 months ago
Not your grandmothers clarete- whatever that may be. Light hibiscus in color, with strong notes of red currant, blood orange, cassis, and black cherry. A bit chewy & substantial on palate. While it’s not Rose, I could see serving this to someone who finds Lopez de Heredia Rose too funky or… like me, cost prohibiting. For about 70$ less, it’s delicious & fascinating. — 3 months ago
