The 2015 Volnay Taillepieds 1er Cru shows a bit of reduction on the nose, eventually clearing to offer undergrowth and bay leaf infused red fruit. The palate is underpinned by firm tannin, impressive depth. Quite a complex and grippy Volnay with superb length. Pascal Roblet has really got a handle on this Volnay. I can see this ageing with style and panache. (Neal Martin, Vinous, July 2018)

Started out a little mossy then turned pretty hard into a deep, mushroom thing on the nose. — 7 years ago
Very 2008 vintage with cool red fruit tones, a hint of sous bois and spice. The wine is fresh and bright in the palate. Red cherry, cranberry and pomegranate fruit are surround by great fruit tannins. This is lithe and focused. — 3 years ago
Pure pleasure! A bowl of Fun exploding out of serious terroir! — 5 years ago
Solid tart cherry and earthy flavors, just lacking the minerality that I seek in Burgundy. — 6 years ago
GL Luxe tasting 11/12/17. Good wine but rate rather overshadowed though very lively and full of energy — 7 years ago

Red Burgundy at its finest: roses + forest floor + sweet red cherry… If you know, you know! This cannot be explained, only encountered, much less replicated… Rare vintage which tastes exceptional while young. Drinking window is ten mins to about an hour after opening before it starts oxidizing. Fun fact: Pommard is the only appellation for Red Burgundy without Grand Crus. If you do your research, your village and 1er Crus can offer amazing qpr. Catchy! Cheers. — 2 years ago
