Hautes-Côtes de Beaune Pinot Noir 2015

Solid tart cherry and earthy flavors, just lacking the minerality that I seek in Burgundy. — 2 years ago

Santenots Volnay 1er Cru Pinot Noir 2011

Started out a little mossy then turned pretty hard into a deep, mushroom thing on the nose. — 3 years ago

Volnay Brouillards 1er Cru Pinot Noir 2008

This is just lovely. Nose is cool red Pinot fruit with mineral and brown spice accents. Fresh and lively palate with crisp red cherry and cranberry flavors. Tannins are resolved but acidity is a touch high toned for the fruit. — 5 months ago

Taillepieds Volnay 1er Cru Pinot Noir 2015

Delectable Wine
9.2

The 2015 Volnay Taillepieds 1er Cru shows a bit of reduction on the nose, eventually clearing to offer undergrowth and bay leaf infused red fruit. The palate is underpinned by firm tannin, impressive depth. Quite a complex and grippy Volnay with superb length. Pascal Roblet has really got a handle on this Volnay. I can see this ageing with style and panache. (Neal Martin, Vinous, July 2018)
