Super meaty nose. Juicy and ripe. Elegant. — 13 years ago
Really delicious St Joseph. Decanted just about 1 hour which worked well. Wonderful deep dark berry fruit with some nice minty herbaceous notes along with a slightly briney finish. Nice lifting acid and well balanced. Perfect pairing with a cassoulet on a cold winter Sunday. — 5 years ago
Beautiful, expansive and waxy nose. Beautiful aromas. Nutty but also vibrant and mineral. Palate is focused like a laser. Wonderful complexity already with gorgeous delineation and oh so much minerality. Just popped and a little bit out of sorts but I fully expect it to fill out. Terrific value. Wow. Long finish. — 12 years ago
I love her style. Ballerina style St. Joseph. Ripe dark fruits, some game, some blackberry, camphor and dried flowers. Gorgeous and evocative nose. So juicy and silky with terrific silky tannins and great depth. 13's are in a great place now. Much fuller than on release. Good balance and purity and terrific concentration and freshness. — 10 years ago

Gorgeous, deeply classical Hermitage that keeps gaining structure with air. The nose opens into clay, loam, herbs, lavender, black and green olive, blackberry and dark berry fruit, while the palate is lush and juicy in that unmistakable 2017 way but still remarkably refined, linear and aristocratic. The tannins become increasingly substantial and chewy without ever disturbing the balance, and the fruit stays vivid, pure and beautifully delineated. Tremendous sap, freshness and granite underneath everything, with an electric, incredibly long finish. Clearly still opening and could easily go higher with more air. — 6 days ago
