Wow! 😍
This is really outstanding.
Somehow, this wine shows a lot of Syrah/Mourvedre character. Black cherries, warm blackberry pie, grilled meat, cocoa nibs, Asian spice, damp earth, warm chestnuts... wonderful!
On the palate this has tremendous balance, soft tannines, gentle acidity, no overbearing Grenache-sweetness. Such a terrific mouthfeel. Clean, savoury, not rustic at all.
Superb, and exactly how I like my grenache dominant Red Rhone-blends, which are a bit of a hit and miss in my book...
Completely agree with Jeb’s/TWA score.
Insane QPR, as well.

Keep loving wine from this region. Fruity and fresh but just enough earth to balance it. Excellent! — 7 years ago
Really fresh, pure, and transparent. — 8 months ago
This wine is terrific. Made from 90-year-old vine grenache (85%), 60-year-old Mourvèdre (10%) and 5% Syrah. The wine was aged in concrete 18 months with only the syrah seeing oak. It is juicy with notes of bright strawberry, raspberry, red currant. Blackberry, spiced red cherries, and an subtle hint of herbal garrigue in the background with leather, kirsch and clove. Much more elegant than you might assume on learning it has 15.5% alcohol. A beautiful wine with surprisingly bright acidity - very long on the palate. — 3 years ago
Lilacs and berries, fresh altitude air, and of course, allergy meds that allow this aroma to come through.
Deep black berry, prune, smoke, graphite. The elegance of this heavy handed beauty is astonishing. Smooth across the tongue, with a bit of raspy tannins that come out and let the acidity know who’s the boss. Highly enjoyable. — 6 years ago
