A year on from the last time I had this, and this is even better. On the nose, soft toast, sweet red raspberry and wild strawberry, some Gevrey earth and what seems like stem inclusion. None of that captures something distinctive about this wine; since it's a monopole, it's hard to say if it is more winemaker or terroir, but this is special. On the palate, lovely acidity, a touch of baking spice, dense red raspberry, and a touch of earth. Lovely finely grained tannin on the finish. Yum. — 4 years ago
