Real Name La Combe Pebenelle Marsannay still Nuit Saint Georges. excellent Premier Cru quality — a year ago
Nose of opulent plum, blueberry, dark cherry, wet stone, licorice, and (slightly) sweet vanilla. Medium concentration. Medium+ intensity on the palate (and nose). More minerality and violet notes coming through on the palate. Medium acidity, medium+ tannins, and medium+ alcohol. Medium+ finish. 15% new oak. — 5 years ago
Very pretty aroma and delicious fruit and long finish. Merci Mathieu! — 5 years ago
A very nice Pommard. Decanted for 4 hours at the suggestion of the fine folks at Chambers St. Layers of aromatics reveal currant, plum, and earth / leather. Lots of dark cherry on the palate. Very complete with a long finish with some great acidity. Tannins certainly there and even after 4 hours a touch of oak is faintly evident, but not in a bad way. Thoroughly enjoyable. — 5 years ago
Fresh lemon and Creme Fraiche. Sea salt, fresh herbs, wet stone, and fleshy ripe yellow apple. Touch of sweet spices, cream, and a slight hint of vanilla on the long enjoyable finish. 15% new oak. Elevated acidity, medium body, elevated intensity. Round and creamy mouthfeel. — 5 years ago
I bought this knowing very little about it, but the price was right and the risk paid off. This is already giving a lot of pleasure. A mix of dark and candied red fruit and baking spices. Really impressed by this one. — a year ago
candied red cherry, hint of brett? heavy savory notes. needs to open. I’ll try and come back to notes — 3 years ago
