Green apple, ripe juicy pear, lime/citrus notes, wet stone, hint of fresh rubber, plenty of oak/creme brulé on the finish, moderate sweetness balanced well with moderate-high acidity. Deliciously fresh and round. — 7 years ago
Caramel corn without the sweetness, salted and buttered popcorn balanced well by pear, candied pineapple and dusty tannins, really well put together, crispy creme brulé, creamy in the mouthfeel until the finish where some citrus-like acidity sharpens things up, light bodied. Extremely well balanced and polished. A beautiful Burgundy.

— 4 years ago
I opened a 3L of Chateau L'Evangile as a follow up to 65 Unico birth year bottle that we enjoyed. This was legendary beauty. Robert Parker rated 100 and I have to agree. He indicated "The most profound L'Evangile ever made?". I'd have to agree yet again!! Huge mouthfeel especially in light of the very light and playful Unico that we had just enjoyed. Gorgeously inviting Nose which ignited our senses. On the palate it was seamlessly multi layered with dark fruit & a creme Brulé type of caramel finish. Super cool!!! I loved it!!!
No rough edges with a marathon finish. Badass in a glass for my badass wife!! Happy birthday babe!! — 7 years ago
It was awesome to taste New World NAPA alongside old world Napa. This Rudius Knockmore is a beast. Such a gorgeous example of a phenomenal Napa cab. This vintage is by far the absolute best that I have ever had from this Vineyard. Can you say "Houyi" baby!!!!! The news was incredibly distinctive and opulent. You truly and immediately had a sense of lush Brulé/candied Blue fruit. The finish was amazing and it definitely hit the front middle and back palate.
I would buy 20 cases of this tomorrow morning if only they were available!!!!!! I am on winesearcher pro every other day trying to source one or two bottles at a time. It was great to share it with my buddy Shawn whom never met a Rudius that he liked until this evening!!!! 😘❤️❤️😘. This was not the wind of the night but it was the biggest surprise of the night considering the bottle is 1/15th the cost of some others that were enjoyed this evening — 7 years ago
Simply beautiful and elegant. 2007 which could have been laid down another 10 years. Creme Brulé, vanilla, buttery & oaky.....oh so delicious. A Chardonnay which should have been decanted prior to enjoying. It's that big yet so elegant. Easily a 45+ second finish. Killed a magnum of 07 that I picked up at auction. It's Ok., I have 3 more!!!! Yes., I'm rubbing it in !!! 😍😜😜😍😋🍷🍷😂 — 8 years ago

$26 Big nose. Notes of pear, honeydew melon, vanilla, pie crust, baking spice, and creme brulé on the nose. Light body. Off dry. Low acid. Medium tannins. Low alcohol. Notes of yellow apple, pear, and lemon zest, with a chalky finish on the palate. This is a well balanced Chardonnay, with only a hint of oak. It's got a smooth, clean finish. Definitely drink again! — 2 years ago
