Vintage 2001 | Beautiful developed and great intensity. Apricot, honey, botytris in smell. Balanced sweet. Such wines will outlive me. First time we tried Sauternes with oysters. It works.

It is good and intense, of course it is 2001. Honeysuckle, lemon peel, good acidity, a bit oxydized. Very good effort not up to what 2001 could have produced but quality wine.

Really enjoyable with the multiple styles of desserts that we had. Not too sweet.. unlike most Sauternes that I have had. Very nice

Disappoinrment here with its orange fruit profile and its simple attack. Lacking botrytis and ultimately complexity. A more confectionary example of the 2001 Sauternes, a big step down feom the Suduiraut. Dramatically over-rated by critics.
