Vin de Savoie Mondeuse 2014

Just an all time favorite. Last bottle of the ‘14 which is timely as it’s starting to dry out a bit. Still a beauty though. Wild black and purple fruit, herbal, sauvage, floral, peppery, a hint of spritz at the end. — 4 months ago

mousseux Méthode Traditionnelle Ayse Vin de Savoie Perles du Mont Blanc

Golden yellow, nice gentle fizz on pour. Clean fermented aromas, floral and dried fruit flavors, a lot of varietal character on the finish, good acidity overall. Different but enjoyable — 2 years ago

Monsieur Gringet 2020

Poured at the Domaine by Vincent Ruiz, who has taken over the Estate and finished the bottling of this wine. The label was selected by Belluard’s wife, Valerie. After tasting through tank samples of the 2022 Gringets, it appears the Domaine (now called Domaine du Gringet) is in excellent hands. A beautiful site and a highly recommended visit. — a year ago

Le Feu Gringet 2015

2015 Domaine Belluard Le Feu. The grape is Gringet. I love this wine! Aromas of apple, minerals and mountain herbs. Tastes of apple/grapefruit, mountain herbs and rocks. Long. This is a beautiful wine. ‘Grand Cru’ from Savoie! — 3 years ago

Eponyme Savoie Gringet 2010

A rare variety, Gringet, produced at a single vineyard in Savoie. The winegrower in question gave his life for this variety, effectively, and this is the last vintage he made, or so I was told. You can research the story online.

Good acid, orchard fruit aromas, stone fruit and citrus flavors, mineral finish. I’m glad I got a taste and let’s hope more will be made by a daring winemaker or winegrower.
