Def could use some more aging but already clearly a winner. — 9 months ago
Deep dark Rutherford fruit. Decanted for 60 minutes and turned out perfect. Casis, cooked plum, licorice. Nice tannins lend length and depth. This can slumber in the cellar for a decade. — a year ago
Really original wine, reminds me of the first time I tasted The Prisoner years and years ago, the original Zinfandel version that is. This is a Petit Syrah, Merlot, Cab blend with concentrated flavors and deep complexity… Need time to open and achieve balance. Cheers. — 4 months ago
As expected but really not showing it’s age at all. Lots of sweet oak and a little zest as well. This was great. — 9 months ago
Very pleased with this riesling. Very light and smooth with a touch of sweetness. Definitely will buy this again! — 2 years ago
This is really really good. Wish I had more. Give it 30 min to open up and it sings. Nose is incredible floral bouquet. Cassis, black and blue fruit, baking spices, graphite, so well integrated and tannins are luscious. Smooth and great mouthfeel with a nice long finish. Really in its prime. — 4 months ago
Lovely nose right at the bottle open. Surprisingly, it was at its best about 1.5 hour after open. Ripe fruit but far from dominant. Acidity is high, tannins soft but with a bite. Drinking well with nice finish. Dark fruit, blue and black, strong minerality. Honestly, I had high expectations because I love Dr Crane, this was great but didn’t quite meet them. Still, really good. — 6 months ago
A great vermouth; easily stands on its own — 2 years ago

Compared to the last Becker dry Spatlese tasted, this was less inviting: a bit more mineral & stony, with none of the fruit flavors associated with Riesling to be found. Very chiseled & imagine needs time in bottle/ long decant. You can still taste the precision though. — 2 months ago
