The best wine I have ever had while fishing and eating deck top charcuterie. Spicy nose but perfect balance and mellow fruit. Super delicious while fishing! — 5 years ago

I always express my honest thoughts...sometimes to a fault. Perhaps, I’m about to walk that line here but, really believe in honest expressions. Especially, with wine. In full disclosure, I was a little disappointed in our visit to Outpost. I loved our host Sara. However, some of the wines tasted seemed as if they had seen too much air. Either from being opened to long, not properly vacuumed or should have used a Corvain in the original/previous pouring’s to keep them fresh(er).
The nose reveals jammy fruits of, spiced & baked; blackberries, black raspberries, dark cherries, dry pouched cranberries and plums. Steeped fruit teas, black & white pepper, prune of glass edge with dark withering flowers.
The body is medium full, round with beautiful fruits. It’s juicy but, a little watery & flabby. I believe from too much air. Blueberries, spiced & baked; blackberries, black raspberries, dark cherries, dry pouched cranberries and plums. Steeped fruit teas, black & white pepper, limestone minerals, crushed rocks, prune of glass edge with dark withering flowers & violets. The acidity is like a rainfall. The finish is polished, lean, watery, ripe but, well polished.

Our friends deck coming along nicely. The kitchen bar & lighting is in.
Tastes really good tonight. Showing more of the right kind of oxidative notes I enjoy.
Golden & green apple, braised pear, overripe pineapple, lemon, lime juice, nougat, some apple cider, vanillin, yeast, bread dough & crust, sea fossils, grey volcanics, limestone, white spice, gentle, powdery chalkiness, micro oxygenation, excellent with spring flowers, yellow flowers & withering white lilies. Excellent acidity. The finish is rush, smartly balanced, elegant and persistent. — 4 years ago
The is a pleasant sparkling wine from the Loire valley. It’s fun to see a sparkling wine with a touch of cab franc. Pleasant pear with nice acidity. Bright, young, and enjoyable. Slight green apple and very faint cherry. This is different and fun to drink on a back deck for Labor Day weekend. — 5 years ago
