You can taste the granache. Lovely wine on a warm day. Nice and dry with a bit of sweetness — 3 years ago
Fresh and fruity. Not very crisp for a rosé. Good for a warm spring day. — 5 years ago
-Rugged Riesling-
DAY 1
Served with the Vinloq System
👀Dark yellow golden honey. Unfiltered
👃Sour citrus, wax, savory herbs with tea & mint
👅Honeyed, candied stone fruit. Ripe apples. Very herbal with pronounced acidity. Salty. The finish is dry, long, & delicious
So interesting. So expressive. Superb clarity. Singular flavor profile likely due to botrytis and long elevage. Just…wow
The remaining wine was Slow Decanted with Vinloq & refrigeration
Sampled this on 2 more occasions
DAY 15
👃Bold, distinctive & precise
👅Probably would not guess riesling in a blind tasting. Tea, cognac & sherry all make appearances. Bruised/ripe apple is only perceived sweetness
Virtually unchanged in 15 days. Feels very sturdy. Probably would be an interesting wine to cellar.
Jakob Tennstedt is a new winemaker in the Mosel. He biodynamically farms 50-100 year old vines he restored on steep blue slate terraces. This wine was so laborius to make that he will not do it again. I am glad I was able to try it this time and it gives me motivation to try his other wines🥂

As we begin to return to dining out, it’s such a pleasure to have a nice bottle of wine outside on a warm day in San Francisco. My friend wanted some good Champagne, so I opted for a reasonably affordable bottle from one of my favorite producers. This is a non-vintage blend of 1-3 years worth of wines from several plots of Chardonnay that Pascal Agrapart farms organically around the Cote des Blancs. It has wonderfully crisp character and a nice unripe apple and pear quality along with its stony, cistern-like minerality and a faint saline note at the end. Mouthwatering and beautifully filigreed. — 5 years ago
Second time having this wine. Dark ruby with a nose of blackberries, cassis, violets, and lavender. Also picking up notes of anise and vanilla this time. Perfectly balanced, everyone is playing well together on this wine. The acidity, tannin, and fruit are in perfect harmony across the long, powerful finish. Had to pair this with a nice steak. Did a steak tasting along with this wine. Cast iron seared Snake River Farms(SRF) ribeye medallion, SRF sirloin, and a local grocery store NY strip. I would have expected the ribeye to be the winner, but the sirloin was the favorite for all of us. All that being said the wine paired perfectly. Also had a glass of this wine with my wife’s pot roast the day before and it was divine. Hearty beef is a perfect pairing for this powerful wine. — 3 years ago
Light berry spice in front and smooth finish. Good middle day sipping wine. Seems like it would go with most meals. This is for the HartHills Cabernet Sauvignon California organic sustainable vineyards. — 4 years ago
