Zoom event with Drew Bledsoe and Josh McDaniels. Vertical from ‘07, ‘14, ‘15, ‘16, ‘17, ‘17 estate, and ‘18. All were exceptionally smooth and silky with good depth of fruit. Notes on the ‘17: 87% CS, 7% Merlot, 6% petite Verdot. Tobacco and raspberry on the nose, blackberry, raspberry and oak on the plate with a long fruity finish. The least earthy of the bunch tonight. Still young, will benefit from additional age. — 5 years ago
This wine is really nice and represents more of an "old school" style of CS. Dark berry fruit is present but not the star! Earth and minerals mingle nicely...pencil lead..eucalyptus..leather..
Cola..Bakers chocolate..oak.& cherry compote!

Super Vintages of SuperSeconds🍷
Classic Margaux with graphite of pencil shavings, rich in fruits, black tea. Fragrant and graceful. Pure elegance.

'89 was a super vintage for Palmer.
The only true competitor to Ch.Margaux.

Pretty light but quite round. Got a feeling of black currant. — 8 months ago
Nose: Cherry with a hint of baking spices
Body Light body- (CS on training wheels)
Palate: Acidity forward (which could be part of the BC flavor) hints of dark fruit, like plum and blackcurrant Would pair well with: Meatball w/red sauce. Prosciutto and mozzarella cheese. Potato Skins w/bacon, and bacon wrapped scallops — 3 years ago

The second label of Chateau La Mission Haut Brion. A lovely elegant and appealing blend of 56% CS, 39% Merlot, and 5% CF. Delicious and still young, another great example of the nice surprises that the 2008 vintage had to deliver. Full of cassis, earth, chocolate, cedar wood, full body, rich, firm tannins, fruity complex finish. My score 90, drink to 2025 — 8 years ago
2014 vintage. The blend is Syrah grenache and CS + others. Chocolate hints are shown on the nose and palate. Some spice and some floral character. full bodied and flavourful smooth tannins. — 8 years ago

Oak, vanilla, sweet CS. Slightly spicy. Heitz Cellar Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2017 @2500, mar, 230927 — 3 years ago
The 15’ bottling sees Petit Verdot leading this Bordeaux blend at 32%, with 26% CS, 26% Merlot, 13% CF, and 3% Malbec.
Complex and deep nose of blackberry, cassis, fig, dry pine cone, dark soy source, butterscotch, thyme, black pepper, with hint of violet. The palate, while delicious and smooth, lacks the depth I expected. Finely grained tannins lead to a long peppery finish.

Austin BBQ is amazing!!!....Enjoying this Oakville Ranch CS with brisket and pulled pork. Wish I had more bottles of this on the trip to try at other BBQ joints. BYOB joints are hard to find in Austin. — 6 years ago

Super silky tannins and with that ripeness that surely was meant to appeal to many palates including my own several years ago.
This is a solid and very good wine in no immediate danger of falling off the cliff.
However as with many of the high octane Napa cult CS that I started to stock up on 15+ years ago I’ve realized that I’m often lacking a bit of “personality” over time and would suggest to pop the corks and enjoy this over the next 1-2 years. — 8 years ago
CSらしいやや陰性、青いピーマンのような香り。
タンニンはやや丸くなって、酸味、果実味とのバランスもいい。
