No formal notes - dining with friends at a BYO Italian restaurant in Surfers Paradise. Interesting background story - this is made by Australian winemaker, Dave Fletcher, in the old Barbaresco train station. Dave is one of the chief winemakers at Ceretto. Ceretto allow him to make wine under his own label on the side. A well made correct medium bodied rendition showing red fruits and fine powdery tannins. A great match with Fettuccini Puttanesca. — 2 months ago
Was a hand-me-down so no expectations. Pleasantly surprised. Very good everyday wine that was approachable on opening. Pleasant aroma. Light bodied slightly sweet but with multiple layers of fruit complexity and winter spices. Mild but lingering finish. Checked that the price was reasonable - so good value for quality. — a month ago

In 1879, 2 brothers decided to set up a wine business, C.V.N.E., Compañía Vinicola del Norte de España (Northern Spanish Wine Company) or la Cuné, as it is commonly known in Haro, created and still kept in traditional neighborhood of Haro station today. Deep Ruby with ripe berry aromas and complex spices, 85% Tempranillo, 10% Graciano, 5% Mazuelo. On the palate blackberry, cherry and sweet currant with herb, leather, oak & pepper spice. Fine tannins, well balanced good depth & structure on a long finish. — 5 days ago

I’m usually a drinker of old world wines but for $20 and a central coast wine this is great. A big mouth feel and a great complexity with its flavors. Fruity spicy with some chocolate notes — a month ago
