Deep brassy gold color. Nose has loads of yellow fruits and stony minerals (It’s a blend of 40% Antao Vaz, 30% Arinto, and 20% Alvariho grapes). Meadow flowers and a teensy bit of toastiness. In the mouth it’s ripe and deeply flavored, the fruit very low-toned. Tons of stony minerals. The texture is soft and broad. Acids are low-ish. Nice, lengthy finish. I don’t think this will age, but it’s really nice now. — 8 months ago
2015 vintage. A joint venture between the Roquette (Quinta do Crasto) and Cazes (Lynch Bages) families. Only produced from the best barrels in exceptional years. Old vines of Touriga Nacional, Tina Roriz and Touriga Franca from the Douro Superior and Cima Corgo sub-regions. Black fruit and violets. Seriously powerful, but it maintains elegance, thanks to the acidity balancing the layers of fruit and ripe tannins. Long lingering finish. Impressive. Abv. 14,5 % . — a year ago
Dried leaves and smoke... oak... leather... tobacco. There's so much going on in this glass.
It's complex and well balanced.

For the Baixo Corgo version. Tastes like vacation in Portugal! Simple but delicious and affordable! A mix of fresh and stewed fruit with a slightly woodsy finish. — 8 months ago
