Tight. Did open up eventually. — 7 months ago
Going through the old stash, drinking nicely. Earthy but light on its feet, complexity just enough to make it interesting with mature dark red fruit notes and medium finish. — 16 days ago
Dark cherry tobacco nose, drinks very smooth / subtle - yum! — 2 months ago
A little young to be drinking now but still a great wine, deep fruit concentration, very dry, lot of tanin — 8 months ago
Amazing NSG legendary producers sitting right behind us at the wine bar blind tasting! Les Comptoir des Frères Nice. Cherries blackcurrant earth. With Manu and Hitomi — 10 days ago
Experienced this producer last year and wasn’t a fan but everyone deserves a second chance….Mr Prieure is redeeming himself…..Sommelier was a big fan too, recommending this over some other big names…..tasting notes: very light and delicate, scents of pickled cucumber (yes, really) and rhubarb. Not our usual deep berry concentration, this one is much more sophisticated, and deserving of the occasion and venue! — 16 days ago
Superb showing, mamy years ahead of it but the Viallière tannin has softened considerably. Rich and dense as expected given the vintage yet very regal and elegantly textured. Soaked black cherry and plum, hung meat, cracked pepper, leather, wilted violet, juniper and mint, pastille and damp earth. Lovely iron and woodsy notes accompanying. WC bringing frshness, focus, and a beautiful spice component. Perfect with bœuf bourguignon. — 8 months ago

Really an excellent “cotes du rhone”. Drinks like a cote rotie and at 100% Syrah from a great parcel and producer it’s not hard to see why. Lovely balance of dark fruit and pepper notes. Mouth filling and precise. Tannins are probably medium minus. Seamless finish. Quite delicious. — 11 days ago
