It's ripe, sexy, opulent and powerful, yet graceful and elegant, with no hard edges, and brilliant tannins. It’s a big step up from the 2015 (which is a great wine in its own right) and is one of the true gems in the vintage

Wonderful. Such a distinct personality for the Taittinger portfolio. Toasted oak, green and gold Apple peel, lemon curd, decomposing apricot, soft chalk and brioche with a tad bit of sugar. Good weight that is too much for fish but perfect for roast chicken. Really classy and surprisingly fresh for its 18 years of age. Thank you Clovis Taittinger! — 10 years ago
