Just an insane nose. So expansive, airy, salty, some fruit but more chalk and mineral, such a fine mousse, so elegant, juicy and clean, wonderful acidity, unreal purity, what a nose, the mousse is so clean and my god it’s so pure and has such movement. Holy balls. Ethereal. Beyond ethereal. Like a cloud. Just insane. Hint of sweet wood, iodine, saline, Meyer lemon, hickory smoke, sweet pear, pear juice, incredible spice, cloud like. Huge mineral stank. So complex. Palate is a masterpiece. Elegant, sweet, lemon, pear, apple, so ethereal, sweet fruit and wood, sweet lemon, inner mouth aromas, so balanced, so energetic, so long. Palate is elegant with tart red cherry and white mushroom, high acidity, medium plus tannins, medium plus body, medium alcohol, and a long hearty finish. Hot initially, with oregano oil, cinnamon and tobacco. Revisit yields subtleties, including lemon oil, grapefruit pith, orange peel, arabica, eucalyptus, apricot, red chilies, Mexican cigar spices, and peppercorn dust. Cinnamon-oak builds to a crescendo of resinous might in a cloud of foundry smoke. Allspice appears with oregano following hot on its trail.
