What can I say? I am a sucker for CDP. Especially when the wine has more than just Grenache/Syrah.
When I was last in this region, talking to farmers, they were pulling up all the lovely 13 by law slotted varietals, for just two. Because they tolerated heat more.
Caramel nose,
That aged wine smell. Weighty, and delicious. Cedar wrapped Blackberry, a bite of a while pomegranate, lithe, fruit, skin and seed.
A wonderful mouth filling experience, with some lip smacking tannic overtures.
Yum.

Trying at the Wine Vault. Subtle aromas of cherry, slightly funky. Rich fruit and lots of depth to taste. Loved by the big reds group I’m with. — 3 years ago
Raspberry and cherry upfront with a spicy finish. Balanced tannins and acidity. Easy drinking for a bigger red. — 5 years ago
In Nantes le Cigale with Oysters - the whole cliche but wonderful. Need to drink more Muscadet — 9 years ago

Talk about the perfect wine for the meal. We did local heirloom tomatoes, Barata cheese, and it held its own. Fois gras with caramelized onions. It definitely started to shine. She had the seared pork chop with polenta, and I had the duck trio which consisted of duck breast and homemade duck sausage. Not only the wine hold its own and definitely made the night more memorable. You can never separate the food from the wine. — 4 months ago
