"Le Plaisir" Pays d'Oc Pinot Noir 2015
88/100 - Our Score
(9/2016) Real Pinot Noir at a great price. This cuvee was bottled exclusively for our Chicago-based importer by Guillaume Gonnet, co-owner of Font de Michelle in Chateauneuf du Pape. Fresh, fruit-forward and soft, this is a best-in-category value. — 10 years ago
It's Blanton's, proofed up to 103. Being a single barrel, Blanton's is consistently good but not consistently great. This bottle is well above average. It smells and tastes like something from the Van Winkle bourbon lineup. Dark cherry, apricot, leather, cigar box. Much more pleasing than last years bottle. I thought the Gold used to be in a skinnier 700ml bottle, but this is 750ml. Maybe I'm losing it 🤔

Brown sugar bourbon. Completely delicious, as long as you like alcoholic brown sugar syrup. I imagine this would be best over a brownie with ice cream. — 7 years ago

It’s rosé season in spirit in Chicago. This is a great one. Nice balance of the acid you expect with lush fruit off the old Mourvèdre vines. Wish I had more bottles for actual warm weather. — 8 years ago
