Very interesting wine, aged well, — 7 years ago
Complex, roasted nuts and dark fruits, in a perfect drinking window — 8 years ago

Absolutely so smooth from the first sip. Left bottle open for a couple days after first glass and was divine. No harshness even after first open, slightly sweet with a bit of dryness. Overall fantastic taste. — 10 years ago
Fresh red plums with spice. Very quaffable. From wined up here. — 3 years ago
Don’t know how this one escaped my attention for so long, but I get why it’s so well loved. Ridiculous QPR. At the risk of both revealing my ignorance and offending everyone, I reckon this is the drink Stanley Dry White cask (a seminal drop in my existence, and fellow Australian cheapo icon) aspires to be. Whistle-clean citrusy drinker with intensity right round the edges. Cellaring a few of these from now on. — 6 years ago

Probably the WOTN for me as I didn’t subscribe to the Exceptional category this time. This is in the Outstanding category. From ancient pre phylloxera Shiraz vines dating back to 1860. Medium bodied with incredible intensity and length. Marvellous. — 8 years ago

Rich & broad, with nice structure and surprising freshness. Citrus & apricot mingles with almonds and herby undertones. On the palate quite textured with nice minerality and good balance. Works really well with strong, aged cheese. — 8 years ago
I'm loving Victorian shiraz these days! Medium bodied, earthy and really well balanced! Mouthfeel is terrific, so much more interesting than your typical Barossa/McLaren vale shiraz.
But also not too challenging.
Great value. — 9 years ago
Spicy! Strawberry, nectarine, peach, has some substance to it. Nice rosé — 4 years ago
Complex nose of cherry, currant, menthol, Asian spice, and light roast coffee.
Ripe and juicy cherry and red plum with med acidity and med+ tannin. The tannins are smooth and well integrated. Nice, spicy oak notes on the finish.
Really delicious, well made stuff. A bit more oak than I remember from the '15, but it's well integrated. — 5 years ago
Fruity and fresh, well balanced!
Great value — 7 years ago
Beautiful colour
Not fully mature yet
In its peak bracket I'd say
Cherry, blood orange, floral too
Leather, tar, rubber
Little liquorice
Various spices
Palate is amazing
Medium body
So clean, incisive, precise
Tannins present giving support and we are talking velvet...maybe Oz velvet🤣
Though we are tasting quite an old bottle that I paid 35 bucks
I say delicious 😜🙏 — 7 years ago
The winner as the Downs Club Club Red from 46 entries. My highest pointed was Tahbilk One Million Cuttings at 91 points but Democracy prevails. — 9 years ago

Delectable - this is the Winemaker’s Selection Marsanne from Chateau Tahbilk - not offered in your Database, which is odd considering that Tahbilk have the largest acreage of Marsanne in the world including vines planted in 1927. This wine had the characteristic nose of mouldy oranges together with citrus peel. Not dissimilar to a mature Semillon but more unctuous on the palate. Good examples are as long living as good Hunter Valley Semillon. Chateau Tahbilk is located in central Victoria in the Goulburn Valley. Will go on for a few years yet. — 3 years ago
