2016 vintage. 62% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc and 8% Cabernet Sauvignon. Dark red with some orange evolution on the rim. Raspberries and cedar wood , with truffles lurking in the background. Medium-bodied, with slightly jammy red fruit. The tannins are not as velvety as both the 2020 and 2022, but still there is a good balance, complexity and length. Maybe closing down a bit, the future will tell. However, I don't see this ever reaching the level of the 2020 and certainly not 2022. Outperformed by the 2016 Couvent des Jacobins tasted alongside.

Gentle and calm aroma with concentration and forest like. Solid structure. Plum, blueberry. Tannic. Acidic. Enough decanting like 2 hours is necessary. 2020 @2800, domaine, 230701 — 2 years ago
2022 vintage. Couvent des Jacobins has been making great wines for decades, but the recent wines are even better. This second wine is absolutely gorgeous and could be a Cru Classé in its own right. Beautiful nose with red fruit (raspberry, strawberry), flowers and a subtle hint of cedar. Impeccable purity of concentrated fruit, with freshness and velvety tannins. Perfectly integrated oak.Uncommon depth for a second wine. Long finish. Impressive. Abv. 14,5%. — 7 months ago

Cherry, tobacco, and blueberry. Light bodied but still rounded and bold. I like this, would love to pair with a lamb chop. — 7 months ago
Bright and exciting with plenty of structure, fruit and beauty to cellar a few more year but why, enjoy!!! — 10 months ago

Plum rich. Japanese Umebishi. Later on, changed into juicy, cherry. Good match with Japanese style of grilled sea eel. 2019 @1280, domaine -, 220629-220715 — 3 years ago
Kland Aida
Probably my favorite St. Emillion. First had it at a restaurant in St. Emillion (2006 vintage?) and brought some back home. Had several 2009 vintage bottles since. Love this wine. — a month ago
