Chateau Le Loup 2016
Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Bordeaux blend. 50% Merlot, 25% Cab franc, 25% Cab Sauvignon. Aromas of blueberry pie and candied yams. Very smooth rounded tannins and a pallet filled with ripe blackberries and blueberries. Spicy vanilla and oak take over and leave a dry tart finish leaving you screaming for water and another taste. Yes I am drinking French wine..
Yes I rated it over 90.

Solid 9.5. Smooth. Classic Saint-Emilion. — 8 years ago

Yet another overachieving ‘22 Provence rosé; very satisfying after recent Provence vintages produced a cloying totty fruity pop. White flowers with a pinch of pepper greets you on the first swill. There’s some nice pineapple juice in the middle palate that takes you unexpectedly to a dry finish. This is good stuff and certainly worth a try. — 3 years ago
Mineral, structured. Subtle citrus aromas (less fruit than other Mâconnais tasted). Grapefruit, slightly bitter notes on the palate. Fresh, good acidity — 5 years ago

150m / red clay, wow aromatics, raspberry. Pepper. — 8 years ago
Incredibly powerful black currant from the start. I get a bit of herb and smoked meat after a while. Violet then raw licorice all the way taste wise. — 8 years ago
Less sweet. — 9 years ago
Crisp, floral and fruity with a touch of sweetness, green apple and lemon notes, would be great with some spicy food. — 3 years ago

Stunning Grenache Syrah blend. Best wine I have ever had out of the languedoc. Would be interesting to see this blind tasted with top Chateauneuf du Papes — 2 years ago
