This wine has a deep golden color and a lovely nose of honey, apricots, apples and earth. The sweet palate brings the apricot forward more and delivers a racy acidity that will make for a good food pairing - and not just for dessert, mind you. Vintage 2021 | This wine is like an adolescent child, you need trust to see it grow up, ripen and develop into a balanced adult. Some people like this wine young with its peach-apricot youthness. This sweet Bordeaux pushes all the right buttons for a wine style that wants to be known as “more than dessert.” The rich golden hue beckons, while the nose of candied fruit is draped in a cloak of minerality. The palate certainly wants to be more than an after-dinner afterthought. The viscous mouthfeel, bracing acidity and mineral-driven flavor profile form a trio unlikely to be caught traveling together in most sweet wines. Neat little gem, reminds me of a dessert wine I had quite a bit from Loupiac - Semillon really shines with big time yellow peaches & apricots w/honeyed accents. Viscous & silky with decent acidity allowing it to dance across palate to a fairly RS laden sweet finish. This will be compelling in 3-5 yrs — 5 years ago
