Lighter in colour than the GPL, with ruby , garnet core and wider ruby garnet rim . Quite open , cool , lightly herbal nose with redder fruit , red currant , touch of red plum , cedar , grafite and tobacco . Quite light and elegant on the palate , cool , mineral, earthy tobacco . Quite good mouthfeel but certainly more focused and reserved , nothing showy . Quite ‘Lafite lite’ in style, doesn’t have the complexity or depth of the 1st wine obviously, but gives a good impression as to the style of the Chateau . Resolved tannins , balanced acidity , reasonable length . Grafite and tobacco tinged finish. Drink now and over the next 5 years or so — 3 months ago

Dry left bank Bordeaux style blend from Chile. Dry, and tannic. Not very green at all. One of my faves — 4 years ago

Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot 50/50 — 8 months ago
Blend of equal parts Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Bright dark garnet color. Aromas of red and black fruit, black licorice and light oak. Same fruits (very ripe) on the pallet with hints of wet loamy soil and basil. Plump and rich. Silky tannins. Pleasant surprise. Solid QPR. — 4 years ago

2022 vintage. From a 375ml bottle. The St. Estèphe exception that proves the rule. Super-delicate cocoa powder with sumptuous richness throughout. Light-medium body. Cos is an outlier on the right. This is on the left. Nearly everything else is in between, hammer and nail 3D BDX...dry, dirty and distinctive. Excellent quality BDX to woo initiates with. 6.26.26. — 3 days ago
