This Lalande de Pomerol is made by the Bielle family at Domaine de Viaud, not to be confounded with Chinese-owned Château de Viaud. Brut(es) is a 100% Merlot wine, vinified in amphoras only. Organic farming and no additives except 20 mg/l of sulfites which makes it officially fit in the new "natural wine" category. It's a delicious fruit bomb. Blackberry fields forever. Ripe tannin, juicy and intense. Good length too. No vintage mentioned on the label, lot number says L19L1, I suppose it means 2019 vintage. Abv. 135%. — 4 years ago

A nice Syrah for under $30. Not an extraordinary Syrah, but it tastes like Syrah and is a good value at its price point. — 6 months ago
