Domaine Roger Belland

Morgeot-Clos Pitois Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Pinot Noir 2013

Clos Pitois in Chassagne is about 100 meters from Clos des Gravieres in Santenay. This wine was richer and rounder than the 2013 Hubert Lamy Santenay. Not as minerally, but equally good. — 3 years ago

Domaine Chapelle et Fils

Santenay Chardonnay

Ours was Les Gravieres 2014 Santenay 1er cru. 1st chard of our week in Burgundy and stuck with me as one of the best we had. Nice balance of fruit and butter, full bodied. Drank 7-15-18 — 7 years ago

Les Gravières Santenay 1er Cru Pinot Noir 2017

Light crimson in colour - transparent. Delicate in body but has palate intensity - excellent tension. Red fruits. Rose petals perfume. Santenay is at the southern end of the Cote de Beaune. Les Gravieres is probably the best known Santenay vineyard in both size and quality according to Jasper Morris MW. A very enjoyable wine even though Burgundy purists regard Santenay as a lesser commune. — 10 days ago

We had the 2009 Vintage on 4/11-12/25. A light to medium bodied Burgundy at 13.5% ABV. Red cherry, raspberry and minerals. Terroir driven wine. Very good — 7 months ago

Les Gravieres Santenay 1er Cru Pinot Noir 2019

Sumptuous bouquet of raspberry, rose oil, pastille, potpourri & baking spices ~ continues onto palate starting bright and crunchy then leaning savory yet w an acidic sanguine finish ~ an effortless complexity w/o overbearing new world snappiness ~ easy choice for “House Pinot” in my mind! @ $42.99 — 2 years ago
